Read in English by Andrew Mauls Byron; SaraHale; Greg Giordano; Dan Gurzynski; Julie Burks
The Black Cat (1895-1922) was a monthly literary magazine, publishing original short stories, often about uncanny or fantastical topics. Many writers were largely unknown, but some famous authors also wrote original material for this magazine.
These are the stories in the twelfth issue of Volume 2:
"Sombre", by John M. Ellicott, U. S. N.: can Anita save her beloved pet-bull and her fiancé from the deadly arena ?
"The Debut of Mandana", by Alden Lyman: sometimes one has to go to great lengths to make people come on a visit
"Number Seven", by Livingstone B. Morse: experience the difficulty of enduring the constant tick-tock of a clock in a quiet house
"Information Wanted", by Percie W. Hart: an old diary tells of inexplicable disappearances of wealthy men
"In Memory of Tom Satan", by Shannon Birch: a black cat is not always a sign of impending doom
- Summary by Sonia
